Apple Releases iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 With Bug Fixes, Plus iOS 17.0.2 for iPhone 15 Models

Apple today released iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 updates for the iPhone and the iPad, adding bug fixes to the new software. The iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 updates come just a few days after Apple launched iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.

The software, which is build 21A340, can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update. There is a separate iOS 17.0.2 update (build 21A350) that will be available for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models.

According to Apple's release notes for the ‌iPhone‌, the update provides bug fixes and important security updates for all eligible devices.

Apple's security support document confirms that the update addresses several security vulnerabilities that may have been actively exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.

Apple has also released iOS 16.7 (build 20H19) for those who have not yet updated to iOS 17, or those who are unable to update.

AI Algorithm Shows Accuracy Up To 95% On Predicting Facebook Price Movements

The deep learning predictive AI algorithm developed by I Know First has shown an accuracy of up to 95% in its predictions for Facebook (FB).
“We provide AI-based forecasts for different time horizons. Machine learning algorithms do better on longer time horizons: the longer the time period, the greater the statistical significance and the greater the accuracy.” said I Know First CEO Yaron Golgher. “The algorithm is able to identify the trend, and to filter out the background noise. The longest forecast is for a year, but we also have a forecast for three month, and even for three days.“

“The accuracy varies for different assets. Some asset are more predictable, some less so. The customer is receiving forecasts on a daily basis along with the latest investment opportunities, and knows this predictability indicator in advance. For example, Facebook stock is more predictable than Snapchat. In general, a predictions success rate above 51% can allow one to make gains even on fully-automated short-term algorithmic trading as long as the portfolio is diversified enough,” CEO Golgher said.

Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are too expensive to go mainstream for now, but a future in which human currency traders have been marginalized by machines seems closer than ever.

Google in 2016

According to sources close to the Wall Street Journal, Google is looking into launching a new mobile based messenger service underpinned by artificial intelligence. “For its new service, Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc., plans to integrate chatbots, software programs that answer questions inside a messaging app,” the article claims.
Facebook’s M is not a fully automated intelligence. There is some human interaction and curation involved to aid it with more complex queries, but eventually this will be an interim step until the computers can handle more intricate requests. “Everything the trainers do, we record every step,” says Alex Lebrun, an AI expert at Facebook involved in the project. This information includes what websites they visit, what they say over any calls made, and what they type in response to the Facebook user.
